On Avoiding Mercury

Posted on July 27, 2010. Filed under: Health |

I think this concept of avoiding “excess mercury” is dangerous. How can we believe that low levels of mercury are OK??  The effects of ANY mercury on the body are cumulative and should be avoided completely. Sadly with the pollution of our oceans, we humans have no choice other than to source our Omega 3’s from plant sources – walnuts, flax or chia seeds.

Because health is so much more than diet, it’s so important to keep it all in balance. Don’t focus on diet and supplements so much that you forget about the mental and spiritual aspects of your health. Remember that all disease has an emotional component.

Keep in mind that the main export companies always bribe the lab people and health inspectors in both ends of the market, in order to give very low rates on MERCURY.  Be concerned about the consumption of large and fatty fish, such as tuna, swordfish, Black Sea bass, etc… Be very careful to limit your  intake of mercury…

Any large business may use subterfuge in order to profit, even if there is a high health hazard…  Remember the tobacco Industry???  Please don’t ever trust what the label says, use common sense and any advice and knowledge you can get.
